In early 2008, a Publications Wing was added to create APC in its current form. Under this activity, APC takes care of the copy-editing and printing of in-house publications such as the Annual Reports, Budget documents, Institute Profile, Scheme of Instruction, and the Institute directory. In addition, APC also publishes Connect (a bimonthly newsletter) and wall and desktop calendars.
Whenever needed, APC helps in the production of documents and posters on Institute events, sometimes at short notice.
Two major initiatives of the Institute — the IISc Press and the Journal of the Indian Institute of Science — now come under APC, which coordinates with the respective committees in the publication of several books every year by the IISc Press, and in the time-bound production of four issues J-IISc (both physical and online versions) every year.
